At last!

The selections for Cadence of Hooves: A Celebration of Horses are finalized. There were so many, many fine submissions. I thank you all for your patience while the reading and selection process was underway.

The collection is truly extraordinary, and I can't wait to share it with you.

I am aiming for a December 2007 publication date; however, this is necessarily provisional at this point. I've learned that working with "provisional" is a good thing--most especially in order to keep the best interest of the anthology in mind.

It's not too soon to start considering venues for public readings and other horse-related events where we can offer Cadence of Hooves. Feel free to post your suggestions.

Oh, and Nik Linsteadt, a recent graduate of California State University, Chico has the Yarroway Mountain Press website up and running:

You can see the list of contributors there as well as other projects and links. Huge thank you, Nik.

Happy Earth Day!

Here's another update:

Though this update looks similar to the last update, we really are making progress!

We are still considering submissions for the final manuscript of Cadence of Hooves: A Celebration of Horses.

There was an overwhelmingly positive response to the calls for submission; therefore, the initial provisional publication date has necessarily been changed.

This is all very exciting as we consider close to 1,000 submissions. I am dedicated to ensuring that thoughtful consideration is given to each poem. This is a lengthy but gratifying process--the writing is so amazing.

Thank you for your patience and support in the meantime.

Stay tuned for further updates.
